Caviar shell spoons

Caviar shell spoons

from €250.00

Our collection includes three rare examples of caviar spoons made from a genuine shell or mother-of-pearl. All three objects are handmade and have a silver-plated handle that has been turned. Shell caviar spoons with silver handles mostly date from the Biedermeier period around 1815-1848 to the Wilhelminian period around 1871-1914. Mother-of-pearl spoons with silver handles were a popular choice for enjoying caviar in style, as they do not distort the taste.

You can also use the spoons to serve a light leaf salad or as a pure object, because it is so elegant.

Measurements: Spoon with two rivets: 25,5cm x 8cm, Spoon with cross rivets: 23,5cm x 7cm, Spoon small: 19,5cm x 4cm
